The Difference between Court and Attorney Service Companies Costs

“Court costs” are the fees the law requires to be paid to the court for the filing of a case in court. If the fees are not paid at the time of filing, the court can reject your case.  These costs are mandated by state law and are payable to the State.  The costs can vary depending on the documents so it is always prudent to check with the court for the required fee.

Court costs are separate from the costs attorney service companies charge when performing the service for you.  The cost of the attorney service company is for their time, expenses, and other similar costs associated with filing your legal documents.

In situations when court fees have been waived by the court, that waiver does not pertain to the cost of using the attorney services company.  Charges will still apply if you intend to use their services to file your legal papers.

  1. Yes, I agree with you that the court costs I think are way too expensive now the attorney fee not yet included. I said this cause my friend availed the service of an attorney oxford ms and she was quite rattled that she paid a lot for the court fees only, her lawyer's service fee not yet included. I think the best way to address to this kind of issue is to produced a package that will give a cheaper fee to those who plan to avail any court services the attorney's fee included.
